Effective 2/1/21, all health examinations performed for school must be documented on the NYS Required Health Examination Form - pursuant to Education Law. Schools cannot accept the health exam if it is not on the required form. See the attached copy of the required form, listed under FORMS below, to bring with you to your Health Care Provider (HCP).

CAN MY CHILD GO TO SCHOOL TODAY?

Staying home when sick can lower the risk of spreading infectious diseases like COVID 19 and the flu to other people. Children who have symptoms of respiratory or gastrointestinal infections like cough, fever, sore throat, vomiting or diarrhea, should stay home. Your child shouldn't return to school until fever free for 24 hours without the use of fever reducing medication, hasn't vomited in over 24 hours, and until generally feeling better.

HOW CAN I PROTECT MY CHILD FROM ILLNESSES?

*remind your child to wash their hands before/after eating, after using the restroom and after recess.

*teach your child to cover coughs and sneezes with a tissue or their elbow

*take care of your child's mental health

*make sure your child gets at least 8 hours of sleep each night

*make sure your child has a healthy diet and drinks plenty of water each day
