The CLS special area teachers (PE, Music, Art, Band, and Library) worked together to present a Character Education Program for all of the students. Based on the movie Despicable Me, the teachers dressed up as the characters -- Gru and the Minions. Using the song Respect by Aretha Franklin, the teachers sang and danced around the gymnasium putting on a show for each grade level. The students were asked to work in small groups to peer teach each other about the meaning of "respect."
